We Provide Legal Services and Advice to Professional Football Players, Football Clubs, Football Associations, Football Federations and Administrators
Re-engineering and Contemporizing the Legal Framework and Structure of Football Administration in FIFA Member Countries/ Associations.
In this regard, FLI provides Legal Support and Advisory Services towards the domestication or ratification (as the case may be) of FIFA Statutes and Regulations in FIFA Member countries. For instance, the Constitution of most FIFA-member countries requires and mandates that for International Treaties such as FIFA Statutes to have the force of law in those countries, they must be domesticated and ratified by their Country’s Parliament.
FLI is fully aware that some powerful football-loving countries are yet to domesticate FIFA’s statutes and Regulations thereby leaving Football to be administered in those countries by National Legislations that are largely unenforceable and foreign to those Country’s local jurisprudence.
It must be strongly noted that the attendant implication of the non-domestication or ratification of FIFA Statutes and Regulations in those countries is that footballers in those countries are unable to amortize the benefits of these FIFA Statutes and Regulations that would otherwise be available to them.
It is against this background that FLI is vigorously and urgently working with Football Associations in FIFA Member Countries to help facilitate the domestication or ratification of FIFA Statutes and Regulations in those countries.
